Regenerate thumbnail url location issue
I do regenerate thumbnails into the admin panel. After this action, I started to see a "random broken" images in the media manager.
If I click to this broken image and see details, can't see the image and the URL sounds weird. Its showing blog absolute path instead of the CDN path.
if I access https://d1ih8jugeo2m5m.cloudfront.net/2019/11/Blog-editável.png the image will be showing
- Operating System: Linux
- PHP Version: 7.0.14-2+deb.sury.org~trusty+1
- Web Server: nginx/1.4.6
- Using PHP-FPM?
- Using WordPress Cron? Yes
- Plugin version: 2.1.30
- WP version: 4.8.4
I'm using Amazon S3
- Deletes uploaded files from the WordPress server after they've been uploaded.
- When you delete from the media library, turning this on will also delete the file from cloud storage.
I just take a look inside the DB/post meta table and see something weird.
_wp-attachment_image_altdoesn't exists to broken images.
I try to re-generate thumbs in 3 ways:
- By plugin
- By Fix media library plugin
- By Regenerate thumbnails
And all alternatives were failed
Do all of the broken images have accents in the filename?
Hey @jong, thanks for the reply
Yes, the broken images have Portuguese/Spanish special characters!
Could this be the problem?
FYI, For now, we're uploading images 1:1 using an especial plugin "Enable Media Replace".
Enable Media Replace works great.
It might be, I will run some tests tomorrow morning and let you know (it's 9:30pm here).
Yeah, its a little lazy (I prefer "automatic" things ) but works!
Very good, I'm very glad you want to help here
@jong Could you understand and replicate the problem? I'm not sure if I can regenerate thumbnails again.
In a few days, I will need to perform this process and I am unsure what errors can happen.
